On Music

From an early age, I have been utterly and completely fascinated by music. It draws me in and cracks my heart wide open. My soul is sighing. To me, like poetry, it speaks of ancient wisdom and universal truths. I feel held, embraced even, by the soft and tender touch of songs full of pain and longing, joy and sorrow, love and despair - the essence of being human.

Singing along my favorite songs releases tension from my body, lifts my mood and calms my nervous system. Standing on stage, performing live, has always been a transformative experience for me. To feel the vibes of the instruments around me, the tunes vibrating in my body, my voice forming sounds and words, expressing them to the world around me. Emotionally connecting with every single person in the room, feeling the tide of my own emotions resonating with theirs in a beautiful flow-like, wavy motion… These moments are indescribably beautiful to me.

Being immersed in music is when I feel most connected - with my deeper self, with others, with the world... with the divine. It is my joy, my passion, my sanctuary, my soft embrace and comfort.
