The tragic Sense of Life

There is no „either/or“ in life.

No set of clear rules of logic to follow.

No straight line forward.

No „right“ or „wrong“.

Life is always „both..and“...

loss and renewal,

hope and fear,

light and dark,

„good“ and „evil“,

pain and joy... at the same time.

We - our emotions and perception of the world - are „both..and“. 

We will encounter contradictions and disruptions that will challenge our beliefs, values and the image of ourselves: illness, death, transgression, injustice, failure, missed opportunities...

We are bound to fall because we will be confronted with the light and dark, „good“ and „evil“, „right“ and „wrong“ within life and within ourselves.

It is time that we allow ourselves to embrace all of our and life’s many facets. Therein lies hope, confidence and trust - trust in our innate capacity to face life‘s truth.
